A registered sex offender who piled a schoolgirl with alcohol and drugs before raping her has been jailed for life.

Lee McPherson repeatedly preyed on the 15-year-old girl who was also bombarded with sleazy text messages, a court heard.

McPherson, 44, was convicted in October last year after a trial in Livingston of two charges of raping the girl between November 2018 and January 2019. The attacks occurred at different addresses in Dundee including in the city's Caird Park.

Sentencing was adjourned a number of times after judge Lady Haldane called for a full risk assessment to be carried out on McPherson, who had previously breached a sexual harm order.

McPherson went on to finally appear in the dock at the High Court in Glasgow where the judge imposed an Order for Lifelong Restriction (OLR). The rapist was told he must serve a minimum five years behind bars.

Lady Haldane said McPherson had continued to display 'deeply concerning attitudes' towards his young victim.

The judge said: 'You showed no insight in the consequences of your behaviour nor did you apparently see anything wrong in a man of your age behaving as you did towards a child.'

McPherson, also of Dundee, was warned he will not automatically be freed after five years. He will only be released once he is deemed safe to be put back on the streets.

Describing one attack, the young victim told jurors how she felt unwell after drinking and taking cannabis at a flat where McPherson and others were. She passed out, but awoke on one occasion to find McPherson on top of her. 

During the other incident, she described lying 'frozen and staring at the wall' as she was preyed upon.

McPherson was further found guilty of sending the girl and another teenager messages of a sexual nature, which he claimed were 'stupid jokes'.

The sentencing hearing was told McPherson continues to protest his innocence.

A 19-year-old man has been jailed in connection with serious sexual offences against two children in Dundee.

At the High Court in Aberdeen on Wednesday, 27 September, 2023, Brandon Wallace was sentenced to five years in prison with a further three years extended sentence.

He was found guilty at the High Court in Aberdeen on Tuesday, 9 May, 2023, of serious sexual assaults which took place between June 2017 and June 2020.

Detective Constable David Scott said: We acknowledge the sentencing of Wallace, who will now face the consequences of his deplorable behaviour. I hope this provides some form of comfort for his victims.

"Police Scotland is committed to thoroughly investigating those responsible for this type of crime and bringing them to justice.

A Dundee paedophile’s stash of sick child abuse files was found when he handed over a bag of stuffed unicorns to a stranger at a city lock-up.

Adam Fraser had only been out of prison for weeks for his last sickening offence when he and his wife agreed to give the bag of toys to a woman they had met on a community Facebook page.

Buried among the toys they handed over at their Dryburgh safe storage unit were mobile phones.

The recipient switched on the devices and found the horrifying filth Fraser had collected.

Fraser, who was jailed for two years in 2020 for having abuse images, has now been returned to prison for 15 months after pleading guilty to three charges at Dundee Sheriff Court.

‘Helping others in Dundee’

Fiscal depute Lee Corr explained Fraser’s wife – and former co-accused – Gail had agreed to meet a woman on November 21 2021 at their Keepsafe lock-up at Rutherford Road to hand over the stuffed toys.

The couple had advertised the cuddly items for free on the “Helping others in Dundee” Facebook group.

Fraser was reported as being nervous during the exchange.

When the recipient got home, she uncovered three mobile phones in the bag.

She switched on two and began charging the third.

The first, a Samsung, had almost 200 twisted files stored on it.

37 accessible videos and 15 inaccessible videos were uncovered, with a back-to-back run time of almost three hours.

23 of them were categorised as being the most graphic and featured children aged between eight and 14 being abused by adults.

140 sick images were discovered too.

A second device, a Motorola, also had disgusting material stored on it – 20 videos with a run time totalling more than four hours.

Fraser admitted possessing, taking or making and distributing the illicit files.

Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown jailed him and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register for a decade.

Prolific offender

In 2020, Fraser was jailed for two years after being caught with sick child abuse files.

He was sentenced to five-and-a-half years imprisonment in 2015 after being found guilty of brandishing a gun at a woman and demanding she take off her clothes.

On that occasion, Fraser was also convicted of sex attacks against three children in Dundee – dating back to 2000.

A rapist taxi driver who preyed on two teenage passengers has been jailed.

Saifal Zaveri, 42, attacked a 17-year-old student after picking her up as a fare from outside her home in Dundee.

The married father-of-three, who has a previous conviction for stalking, also molested a 16-year-old passenger during a journey from Dundee to Monifieth.

Zaveri, of Mayfield Grove, Dundee, denied charges of rape and sexual assault but was found guilty following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh in June.

Appearing for sentencing at Glasgow High Court, Zaveris actions were described as opportunistic and predatory.

Zaveri, who quit as director of Abertay Cabs in April 2021, continues to maintain his innocence, the court heard.

The former newsagent was handed an extended 11-year sentence and will serve eight years behind bars.

The former shopkeeper was placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.

A man has been found guilty of raping two teenagers on the same night in a Dundee car park.

Thomas Millar raped one of the girls in the back seat of a car and the other both inside and outside the vehicle.

He was on bail accused of raping another teenager at the time.

Millar has been on trial at the High Court in Dundee and was found guilty by the majority of jurors of three charges of rape.

The jury found Millar also had sexual activity and sex with another teenager years earlier.

Millar, who was already remanded at Perth Prison, had admitted three separate charges earlier in the trial.

The 22-year-old showed no emotion as the jury returned its verdict.

The first offender, formerly of Ettrick Crescent in Dundee, was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and further remanded ahead of sentencing.

Ignored victim’s pleas to stop

Jurors heard evidence from the teenagers raped by Millar.

In a police interview video, one 15-year-old girl explained how she and a friend had been in a car with Millar and another man last year.

The group visited shops in Dundee, where they bought alcohol and then picked up the second complainer

They drove to a car park in Dundee, with the three girls in the backseat.

She said: “Tommy had his own drink, he had beer.”

After the others left the vehicle, Millar moved into the back seat.

The girl told police: “That’s when Tommy was in front of me.

“I can’t remember how he got there.

“He ended up in front of me. He moved the front seat forward.

“Then he moved my legs. Then he took his trousers off.

“I was trying to tell him no. He just took his trousers off and moved my legs apart.

“Then he grabbed me. I kept telling him no.

“I couldn’t move my legs.

“I kept saying no, that I don’t want to do it, but he didn’t listen.”

Victims tell of terror

She said when one of her friends returned to the car, Millar stopped and put his trousers back on.

“I was so confused. It was quite scary.

“I was just quite scared and hoping someone was going to come back.”

The girl said that shortly afterwards, Millar’s other victim said what happened.

“(The second victim) was shouting about it, that she had just had sex with him.”

Both teenagers returned to the second victim’s home and told her mother before contacting police.

The first girl reported pain, adding: “My legs are all bruised. I’ve got scratches.”

Millar was found to have raped the first girl once and the second twice.

The second girl, also aged 15, was unable to consent due to being so intoxicated.

Both suffered injuries as a result.

Sex with girl in Dundee park

At the time, Millar was on bail in connection with a string of other allegations including raping another teenage girl at Camperdown Park in March 2019.

He had offered a defence that the activity was consensual.

The majority of jurors agreed to convict Millar of alternative charges.

They determined he engaged in sexual intercourse and sexual activity with the 15-year-old at Camperdown Park on March 24 that year.

During the trial, Millar pled guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a fourth girl, aged 15, between 2017 and 2018.

He also admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner towards her in 2018 and towards another teenager, who was pregnant, in 2021.

No motion for bail

Solicitor advocate Iain Paterson made no motion for bail.

Because he has no criminal record, Judge Lady Drummond ordered reports ahead of sentencing at the High Court in Glasgow on September 12.

She said: “These are serious sexual offences.”

A child sex offender called police on himself after being caught in a “sting” by a group of self-styled “paedo hunters”.

Francis Burns is back behind bars after admitting sending nude photos and videos to a “girl” he knew to be 13 but who was, in fact, a decoy.

Burns, 50, has multiple convictions for sending sickening messages involving the sexual abuse of children and has spent several periods in prison.

The recidivist, who was placed on a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) in October 2020, was visited by members of the Secrets and Lies voluntary paedophile hunter group.

Seemingly outraged by this, Burns called police, who eventually arrested him over the content of the messages he had sent to “Charlotte” – an adult male.

Camping trip wishes

Depute fiscal Sarah Wilkinson told Dundee Sheriff Court: “The conversation (on the SayHi app) was initiated by the accused.

“He said ‘hello’ and she advised him she was ‘only 13’.

“The conversation continued.

“After seeing a picture of the girl the accused responded ‘wow, you look amazing’.

“He then provided her his number, saying he did not use SayHi but did use WhatsApp.

“In conversation, the accused told the ‘girl’ he would like to go camping.

“She told him she wanted to be a model and he said she could be a topless model and she could make money ‘depending on the size of her t**s’.”

The conversation became increasingly explicit, with Burns telling his target “she would enjoy sex but it would hurt at first” and then requesting and sending videos of sex acts and asking for nude images.

The messages continued to get more graphic and sexual in their nature, the court was told.

He also told her “not to tell anyone” about their messages, because it would get him in trouble.

Hunter group sting

In January 2023, the group carried out a “sting”, arriving at his Burns’ Dunholm Terrace home.

Ms Wilkinson said: “The group presented Burns with screenshots.

“The accused said to the group ‘I am saying f**k all’.

“Burns then contacted the police.”

Following his arrest, Burns said: “I know I am going to jail.

“I know I am going back to Perth.”

Burns admitted between December 26 2022 and January 9 2023, for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification or for humiliating, distressing or alarming a child he believed to be aged 13, causing an adult to view sexual images and receive written sexual communication by sending sexually explicit messages, images and videos via social media and attempting to communicate indecently with an older child.

He will return for sentencing on August 15 and was remanded in custody.

Past crimes

Burns was jailed in 2017 when he targeted four different children via Kik and SayHi.

He claimed he was a 14-year-old boy and asked one for indecent pictures.

Officers searched Burns’ home in East School Road, Dundee and it was discovered there had been other victims.

He was later caught red-handed breaching his SOPO when a message appeared on his phone as police installed monitoring equipment on it.

It suggested he had been deleting messages from his phone without permission.

A CHILDREN'S charity counsellor who featured in a BBC documentary about his polyamorous lifestyle has been found guilty of rape and indecent assault.

Morgan Prior was locked up after a jury found him guilty of raping one woman and carrying out a serious sex attack on another over a decade ago.

Prior - who spoke on TV about his unusual multiple-partner lifestyle - was remanded in custody and warned he faces a lengthy spell in prison.

The pony-tailed 33-year-old was found guilty by a majority of jurors at the High Court in Dundee but was cleared of four further sexual offences.

Temporary Judge Gallacher told Prior: "It is not remotely conceivable that a non-custodial sentence will follow. You have been convicted of two charges.

"One is serious and the other is very serious and the inevitable outcome I will address more comprehensively and completely at the next calling of the case.

"You have been convicted of offences which will inevitably result in a significant period of custody." He deferred sentence for reports to the High Court in Glasgow on 18 July.

One victim told the trial she had been attacked by Prior in December 2010, when he straddled her and used his legs to pin her to a bed, before raping her.

The other victim told the court that during October 2010 Prior indecently assaulted her at an address in Dundee. She described how he removed her clothing, seized her buttocks and legs and pinned her down, made sexual remarks and groped her.

He was cleared of other charges including an attempted rape in 2011 and an indecent assault on a 16-year-old girl in 2008.

A Dundee paedophile with a side-line in drug-dealing has narrowly avoided a prison sentence.

Police raided Reece Boyle’s home following a tip-off he had been accessing obscene child abuse material.

Telltale text messages from a mobile phone exposed the 26-year-old’s cocaine peddling operation.

Boyle, who was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for three years, left the city’s sheriff court with his hood over his face after he was sentenced to a community payback order.

House visit

Detectives recovered three mobile phones when they searched Boyle’s Findhorn Street home.

The devices were analysed and showed he had downloaded horrific images and videos of toddlers being sexually abused.

One phone also contained of messages from drug users ordering cocaine.

Boyle admitted between September 6 2018 and November 30 2021 downloading indecent images of children.

He also pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine between May 26 2020 and December 1 2021.

Fiscal depute Lee Corr previously told how some of the child sex abuse files were in the most serious category.

Just over 1,040 images and ten videos – with a running time of nearly seven minutes – were found on the cracked iPhone.

“Whilst carrying out the search, several drug items were seen,” Mr Corr said.

Drugs recovered

A bag of white powder, which later tested positive as cocaine worth £5,213, was found stashed in his room.

Around £2,000 in cash was also recovered. The phone had a number of messages which suggested Boyle was dealing cocaine.

Defence solicitor Anika Jethwa, in mitigation for Boyle, said: “A plea was tendered at first diet in April.

“He is 26, with no previous convictions other than a road traffic matter at JP level.

“He has given an honest account of his involvement in the supply of drugs.”

She said: “It is when he started drinking and taking cocaine, he started viewing these images.

“He is unable to say why he did.”

Ms Jethwa added: “He accepts these are extremely serious offences and he might face custody.

“He is a young man who has the support of his family.

“They are devastated about what he has been charged with.

“They had no idea what was going on.

“He has issues which the social work report op believes can be addressed with a non-custodial disposal. I hope he can be given a chance.”

Sheriff Martin-Brown sentenced Boyle to 225 hours community service and placed him on a supervision order for three years.

He will also be on the sex offender register for that amount of time.

A contractor who sent a naked picture of his genitals to a female patient he spotted in hospital has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a year.

Scott Brown, 47, was carrying out contract work at the Carseview Centre when he targeted a woman who was being given medical treatment.

Brown, from Dundee, admitted culpably and recklessly sending an image of himself in a state of undress between November 29 and December 3 2020.

He admitted causing harm to a named woman by sending a photo of his naked penis without confirming whether she wanted to receive it.

Sheriff George Way told Dundee Sheriff Court: “I have read the report and it seems the social workers have assessed Mr Brown as having a low level of risk.

“Largely speaking this was just a stupid error he made.

“There’s no suggestion there was any course of conduct or anything of that nature.

“However, taking into account the nature of the situation of the complainer it is still a matter that cannot be treated as trivial.

“I’m satisfied there was a sexual element to this offence and he will be made subject to the sexual offences regulations for a year.

“There has to be a punishment element at the end of the day.

“He needs to understand how serious this is.”

Brown was also placed under social work supervision for a year and ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work in the community.

A Snapchat sex offender has been branded so dangerous to the public that a sheriff has been forced to remit his case to the High Court for sentencing.

Sheriff Paul Brown said twisted paedophile Logan Summers posed a "danger to the lives of the public" and a sheriff court sentence would be inadequate. Summers trawled social media to find young victims to sexually blackmail before luring vulnerable young girls to run away from home.

The 20-year-old helped one girl travel across country before pitching a tent on city wasteland and having unprotected sex with her. Summers, from Dundee, admitted a huge catalogue of vile offences against children as young as nine-years-old when he appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.

His solicitor David Duncan said: "The court can properly form the view that the public would be at risk if Mr Summers was to have his liberty at this time. I fully accept custody is appropriate and inevitable and that requires to be a relatively significant period to reflect the charges.

"There is a danger he could become even more isolated or detached from society than he already is by the imposition of a considerable sentence."

Sheriff Brown said: "I should remit to the High Court of Justiciary for sentence where I hold that any sentence I impose is inadequate. The risk criteria has been met.

"The pattern of behaviour is such as to demonstrate that there is a likelihood, if he is at liberty, that he may endanger the lives or wellbeing of the public at large."

Summers - who is already serving 18 months after bragging about child rape and encouraging schoolgirls to join him in abusing children - was remitted. He admitted a total of 19 charges relating to sexual offences committed during a 12-month period from March 2021.

The Crown accepted not guilty pleas to a further 13 charges. Fiscal depute Lynn Mannion told the court that Summers trawled Facebook and Snapchat to identify young potential victims across Dundee and further afield.

In one case he managed to get himself added to a Primary Six Snapchat group before sending sexualised messages to the children. The court was told that Summers was described as one of the youngster's "boyfriend."

He met another girl through Facebook and persuaded her to send him nude pictures. When she refused to send any more he threatened to report her behaviour to her parents.

At one stage, he sent a video of himself. The court was told that the recipient of the material was "disgusted" by it.

Summers admitted luring a 15-year-old girl from her home to meet him in a park in Dundee by pretending to be just a few months older than her. He immediately tried to sexually assault her when she met him, and the girl followed Summers home to his flat because she was scared of the consequences of returning home after going missing.

Ms Mannion said: "She stayed in the accused's bedroom for a number of days. He repeatedly tried to touch her.

"He repeatedly tried to pull her trousers down. He eventually managed to pull her trousers down, before removing his shorts and exposing his penis. She was distressed and persuaded him she should leave."

Summers broke bail by continuing to communicate with the girl. Summers then bullied and blackmailed another 13-year-old girl into sending him explicit photographs and asked her to take nude images while she was at school.

When she asked him to delete the pictures, he said: "I'm keeping everything. You just need to be good and I will never post them.

"If I ask you to do something I expect you to do it. I'm willing to risk it. You belong to me now."

He then got in touch with a 14-year-old girl from Glasgow who revealed that she was unhappy and was considering running away from her foster home.

Ms Mannion continued: "He arranged to meet her on 7 March 2022 in Glasgow. They got a bus to St Andrews and then to Dundee. He brought a tent and assembled it behind Iceland supermarket.

"They spent the night in it. They spent the next day shopping and the next night returned and assembled the tent in the dark."

She said Summers had unprotected sex with the girl. Summers is already on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years after previously appearing in the same court and admitting a series of similar charges.

In that case, he sent explicit child porn images to random youngsters and told one girl to carry out a sex act on a child she had been photographed with. Summers, of Dundee, spent several months using Snapchat - where he used the moniker "DundeeShock" - to target innocent victims.

Summers messaged one victim: "Wanna see child porn? I'll rape your ass. I'm gonna get you pregnant and rape the baby."

Summers sent the girl an image of a child being abused and boasted that it was "just like" the time he raped a child he was babysitting for. "Meet up with me," he told her. "I'll just rape you then. I'll rape you like I raped a child I was babysitting." He sent a picture of a naked child.

The court heard that the girls were not known directly to the former Harris Academy pupil, but he had worked out they lived in and around Dundee from their social media profiles.

The 20-year-old, who uses the name Coral Scott, pounced on the girl, who was just 14 at the time, and tried to engage her in sexual activity. After being caught, Scott set up fake social media accounts to abuse and threaten the victim.

The sex attacker has been on remand on Polmont Young Offenders’ Institution and is in the female wing of the prison – despite identifying as male since childhood. Scott appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday under the birth name Coral and admitted to a series of charges.

Last night, the mum of the victim, who is now 15, said: “After it happened my child changed, she became withdrawn, even violent and wouldn’t speak to us. We knew something had happened. We didn’t know she had gone to meet someone.

“Then a friend got in touch and said this person had told others they were going to be meeting our daughter. They also said the person was called Coral Scott. We kept asking our daughter, ‘Who is Coral?’ She said he was called Ryan. We didn’t understand.”

The 33-year-old parent from Dundee, who cannot be named for legal reasons, added: “It was weeks later when she finally told us this person had forced her to do things she didn’t want to do. She said she was traumatised and paralysed with fear when it was happening.

“It broke our hearts to see what this monster had done to our little girl. It destroyed our beautiful daughter. She was a child and whether he was a man or a woman, this is an were adult preying on a child.”

Scott – designated on court papers as “Coral Scott, also known as Ryan Scott” – admitted “engaging in sexual activity with or towards” the 14-year-old girl. In court, the paedophile was referred to as Coral and is understood to be identifying as female in prison.

During a hearing, prosecutor Joanne Ritchie told the court the pair had developed a friendship on Snapchat through a mutual friend’s group. Describing the attack, she said: “She and the girl met at the McManus Galleries in Dundee. She and the accused then travelled to the accused’s address by bus.

“They were initially alone and sat in the living room watching movies. A short time later the accused’s friend arrived. The accused’s behaviour changed and she began to show off by kissing and sucking the girl’s neck, leaving bruising.”

Scott then tried to pervert the course of justice by sending the schoolgirl death threats. The sex attacker used fake social media accounts to target her. Scott was reported to police and then traced and charged on May 1 last year.

Nine days later, when already subject to six bail orders, Scott sent threatening messages to the girl. She received two voice messages from Scott, who said: “So see if I get the jail mate, you’re f***ed mate. You’re dead. You’re just a pure f***ing horrible c***.”

On April 29, the complainer was in her bedroom when she received a Snapchat voice message from someone called 'Bob', who was not known to her. When she opened the message, she immediately recognised her attacker’s voice. Scott said: “See the next time I see you, you better not be in my scheme or I’ll f***ing do you.”

The sex attacker is housed in the female wing of HMP Polmont in Falkirk, which houses remand and convicted youngsters of both sexes aged between 16 and 21. Scott, who turns 21 in June, could be moved to an adult prison if handed a jail term when she is sentenced on March 2.

A spokesman for the Scottish Prison Service said: “We do not comment on individuals.” First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is still facing questions over why male-born double rapist Isla Bryson was sent to a female prison.

A Dundee creep who sexually assaulted a woman and flashed a teenager on the same night will be on the sex offenders register for a decade.

Jason ONeil has a history of sexual crimes, including sharing a private video of a woman performing a sex act on him.

Last year the 28-year-old pled guilty to sexually assaulting a woman at a flat in Dundee on February 18 2022.

Fully-clothed ONeil grabbed her by her hair, bent her over a kitchen worktop and rubbed his private parts against her buttocks, simulating sex.

At the same place that day, he exposed his genitals to a teenager.

In a bathroom, he dropped his trousers and underwear with the intention she would see his naked bottom half.

ONeil proceeded to act in a threatening manner later that night and into the following morning.

He admitted acting abusively towards police who came to apprehend him.

He repeatedly shouted and swore and made sexual and derogatory remarks, before spitting within a police vehicle, banging his head on the window and lashing out with his legs.

Already on register

ONeil has been on remand since February and appeared from custody by videolink at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday to be sentenced.

His solicitor Ross Donnelly said: “What I said would be of particular concern is knowing he has nowhere to go after his release.”

Mr Donnelly noted that at the time of the offences, his client was already on the subject to sex offender registration requirements and was subject to a community payback order.

This came as a result sharing a video on Snapchat of a woman performing a sex act on him in April 2019.

O’Neil filmed the woman while they were staying together at a hotel in Dundee in 2019.

He and the woman engaged in consensual sex but she ended all contact with him after her friends and family became aware of the video being shared on social media.

Jailed, with other sanctions

For his latest offences, Sheriff Paul Brown jailed ONeil for two years, three months of which was in relation to the offending towards police.

Placing the “high risk” HMP Perth inmate on the sex offenders register for a decade, Sheriff Brown said: “These are serious offences against a background of serious offending.

“There’s no alternative, in my view, to a period in custody.”

Social workers identified a string of post-release conditions, which the sheriff agreed was “the most appropriate” option to impose.

ONeil’s sentence was backdated to February, when he was remanded.

A serial sex offender branded a “real and imminent danger” has been caged for sexually assaulting a woman in Dundee.

Remorseless Ian King forced himself on his victim at a premises in the city’s Lyon Street in November, last year.

The 36-year-old exposed himself to his victim before grabbing her.

The woman managed to fight him off before he fled down the street.

The distressing attack was a breach of King’s Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO), which was imposed following a string of sex crimes nearly a decade ago.

He had been banned from touching, speaking to or even approaching women, with some exceptions for retail transactions and family events.

King was told he could not start a relationship, unless the woman had been made aware of his full history of sexual offending.

He appeared in the dock before Sheriff Gillian Wade and admitted the assault and a breach of his SOPO.

He was handed an extended sentence of five years and 10 months, of which, he will serve 34 months in custody.

Grim reading

Sheriff Gillian Wade told King: “All of the background reports I have attained in relation to you make for very grim reading indeed.

“In particular, you are now assessed as a very high risk of sexual offending in the future.

“Community-based interventions and public prevention measures which have been imposed have served as no deterrent.

“You continue to breach your Sexual Offender Prevention Order in the belief that – as you yourself said – you would ‘get away with it’.”

She said: “You have the potential to cause serious harm and that is a real and imminent danger unless work is carried out to address your sexual offending.

“These offences also show an escalation in your behaviour, indicating an attack on a lone female, with no victim empathy or remorse.”

The sheriff said King had “no regard for court orders whatsoever”.

She added: “You will require to demonstrate a significant shift in your attitude before you can be safely released.

“To this extent, I consider that an extended sentence is essential.”

Lone female attacked

Solicitor Linda Clark, defending, told the court: “The Criminal Justice Social Work report makes for somewhat depressing reading.

“It presents someone who has had a lonely, isolated existence and who has been unable thus far to form a relationship within the normal boundaries.”

She said: “Unfortunately, in this case, an opportunity was afforded to him.

“He struck up a conversation with the complainer, before leaving the locus and then returning.

“He strikes up a further conversation with her and then entirely misconceives the perception that she wished to return any form of affection.”

She said: “Mr King is realistic and he is entirely aware that a custodial sentence will be imposed.”

King’s victim said he had pestered her several times and kept asking to use her toilet.

She said when he appeared for a fourth time, she felt something pressing against her back and looked round to see he had exposed himself.

Criminal history

King’s lengthy criminal record dates back to the mid-2000s.

In 2007, he admitted assaulting a female shop owner by running his hand up her leg as she cleaned shelves.

He was banned from having unsupervised contact with children and entering public parks.

In 2009, he was jailed for repeatedly phoning a driving instructor and making obscene comments.

And during a hearing in 2013, he complained that a curfew he had been placed on was “too restrictive”.

The court allowed him to have a break from his electronic tagging order at weekends, so he could go to the cinema.

One Dundee charity said the move “defied all logic”.

A paedophile who was discovered with a haul of baby rape videos has been sent to prison for 28 months.

The sickening haul was found when convicted sex offender David Robertson was discovered with child abuse material for the third time in a decade.

Robertson was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and under a supervised release for a further 14 months.

Dundee Sheriff Court was told Robertson had illicit images on a phone which police officers found hidden under the pillow in his bedroom.

Further images – featuring babies being raped – were found on a second device during a morning raid on his home in Cupar on May 9 this year.

Third similar crime

Fiscal depute Gavin Burton told the court: “This is his third offence of a directly analogous nature.

“Police received intelligence to the effect there may be a device within the locus which contained indecent images of children.

“A search was carried out.

“There was a mobile phone under the pillow in the bedroom.

“An examination proved positive for indecent images of children.”

Mr Burton told the court the images featured children aged from birth to 10 years old being sexually assaulted by adults and other children.

Previous offences

In August 2018, The Courier told how Robertson – then a shop assistant living in Methil – was caught with a storage device and two mobile phones which contained more than 300 child abuse images.

Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard 23 of the images were of the most serious level.

He admitted taking or permitting indecent photographs of children to be take – by downloading – at his home.

He already had a previous conviction for the same offence dating back to 2012, which had been dealt with by a probation order.

A randy woman groped a male taxi driver and exposed herself to him, before offering to pay for sex.

Serial sex offender, Irene Torrie, clambered into the front of the cab before stripping off her shorts and exposing herself to the driver.

She also forced the shocked driver to touch her breasts, thighs and buttocks, before telling him she had a condom with her and that she was a good f*** who would pay him if he came into her house.

The 42-year-old, who has previous convictions for rubbing her body against a train conductor and carrying out a sex act in front of police, was placed on the Sex Offenders Register.

Torrie had a sentence deferred at Dundee Sheriff Court, where Sheriff Paul Brown queried whether a woman could be placed on the Tay Project - a rehabilitation scheme for sex offenders.

The Dundee resident admitted sexually assaulting the driver on various roads in the city on May 29, 2020 by touching his penis and exposing her vagina to him.

She admitted making sexual comments and forcing him to touch her.

She also admitted shouting, swearing and making racist remarks to a couple in Balmuir Road, Dundee, on June 1, 2020.

Finally, she admitted communicating indecently with a neighbour by asking to have sex with him and commenting on his penis size on August 1, 2020.

Prosecutor Lora Apostolova told the court: "She sat in the back seat and started asking questions.

"She asked where he was born, if he was married, and if he would cheat on his wife.

"She climbed over into the front seat.

"The driver pulled over and told her she couldn't move seats while he was in motion.

"She touched his penis over his clothing with both of her hands.

"He removed her hands.

"The accused removed her shorts and showed her vagina and said 'I would like you to lick it.'

"He told her to put her shorts back on."

Torrie was dropped at her ex-husbands home to try to persuade him to give her money and alcohol

According to the driver Torrie's ex said: Be careful of her. Take her away. We dont want her here.

The driver started recording on his mobile phone and Torrie said: Ill pay you if you come inside. Are you f****** or not?

In a previous case, Torrie admitted causing uproar on a train after a Prosecco binge by rubbing her body against the conductor who tried to calm her down.

The conductor asked the serial sex pest where she was going and she replied: You can take me anywhere.

After grinding her body against the shocked conductor, Torrie was thrown off the Dundee-bound train in Perth and arrested by British Transport Police.

A year earlier she had been placed on the Register after performing a sex act in front of police when they turned up to quiz her about a neighbour dispute.
