Description
In February 2023, John Halliburton, then aged 15, committed sexual offences against two young girls in a wooded area in Dundee on the same day.
He sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl and raped a 13-year-old girl, during which he pulled down the victims' clothing.
At the High Court in Edinburgh, Judge Michael O’Grady KC sentenced Halliburton to five years in custody, describing the attacks as “cowardly, humiliating and cruel” and branding them “wicked acts.” The judge also ordered that Halliburton be supervised by authorities for three years following his release and placed him on the sex offenders register for life, stating, “The victims here are the girls — no one should lose sight of that.”
