Description
A 39-year-old man from Barry has been sentenced to eight years in prison, with an extended six years on licence, for seven offences including engaging in sexual activity with a child, sexual assault by touching and sexual assault by penetration.
Sean Newington pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on August 29.
Detective Constable Mohammad Munir from South Wales Police said:
“I want to commend the victims for their courage in coming forward- thanks their reports and support justice has been served. It has been a traumatic time for everyone involved and I am hopeful the outcome at court brings the victims and families some comfort which they deserve.”
