A sex offender has been jailed for breaching a court order designed to protect the public.
David Norbury, 52, of Shores Green Drive in Wincham, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court on November 25 after admitting failure to comply with the sex offenders register and breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).
He failed to notify police of his online alias, TrendyBear109758, as required by the register.
Norbury also entered and remained at an address with a child under 16—prohibited by the SHPO—between June 25 and August 27 this year.
Judge Patrick Thompson imposed a two-year custodial sentence, stating that the seriousness of the offences justified imprisonment.
Norbury received four months for the register breach, to run consecutively to 20 months for the SHPO violation.
This follows a 2022 eight-week sentence for breaching an SHPO by deleting his internet search history.
