Description
A father and son who raped and abused a child have been jailed for a total of 32 years.
The "horrendous" abuse was discovered after the child told a teacher that a man used his phone to photograph their private parts. The man was identified as Victor Blowers, 69.
Upon arrest, Blowers readily admitted the abuse, saying he was “besotted” with the child, thought they were “pretty,” and had “just got carried away.”
Further evidence revealed his son, Alexander Blowers, also sexually abused the child. The victim described being driven to remote locations and abused in the back of a car, with Victor on one side and Alexander on the other. The child was also raped by Alexander.
Alexander Blowers, 41, of Morello Place, Cambridge, admitted two counts of sexual assault, one count of rape, and making indecent photographs of a child. He was jailed for 20 years, plus five years on licence.
Victor Blowers, formerly of Stafford Road, Great Yarmouth, admitted nine offences, including rape, sexual assault, assaulting a child under 13, and taking and making indecent photos of a child. He was jailed for 12 years, plus four years on licence.
