Nuneaton Man Jailed for 10 Years for Rape and Sexual Offences
Simon Cruikshank, 53, of Charlecote Walk, Nuneaton, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for rape and serious sexual offences.
He was convicted at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday 16 June following a trial relating to an incident at a property in Nuneaton in 2023.
Cruikshank was found guilty of raping a woman aged 16 or over and three counts of assault by penetration of a female aged 13 or over. He received a concurrent three-year sentence for causing a female aged 13 or over to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity.
He was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register, given a restraining order and told to pay a victim surcharge.
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said:
“Anyone who has been the victim of a rape or a sexual offence is encouraged to report the incident to police, where specially trained officers will help victims with care and sensitivity, and will work to get the right result for them with their wishes in mind.”
