Rapist targeted a woman in her hotel room.

Aaron Robinson, 33, of no fixed address, has pleaded guilty to rape and faces a lengthy prison sentence after targeting a woman in a Hull hotel room and ignoring her clear refusals.
The victim was on a birthday night out with friends in Hull and stayed overnight at a city centre hotel. Robinson, who had been using cocaine and was also staying at the hotel, got into her bed and began touching her.
She told him “Get the f*** off” and made it plain she was not consenting. He replied “Come on, come on,” tried to kiss her, and got on top of her. She said “Get off.” He told her to “shush” and had sex with her.
Prosecutor Stephen Robinson told Hull Crown Court: “She didn’t want to have sex with him. She could not be any clearer that she did not want to have sex. Despite this, he got on top of her.”
Two friends later found her crying; she said she had found blood. She did not want to go to the police that night but told a female friend the next morning. She reported the incident to police on 2 June 2023; Robinson was arrested two days later. He claimed in interview that he had not forced himself on her, though recording issues affected the interview. The prosecutor said she would have been a compelling witness and there was no suggestion she had fabricated her account.
Robinson originally denied the charge and a trial began. He changed his plea to guilty after the prosecution case had opened. A second rape charge he denied will lie on file.
The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports. He remains remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on 11 December.
