Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man from Milton Keynes has been jailed for child sex offences. 

Phillip Grace, aged 43, of Cleavers Avenue, Conniburrow, was sentenced to nine years and four months in prison and given a sexual harm prevention order at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (4/2). 

Grace pleaded guilty to one count each of attempt to cause/incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity – penetration and adult attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child at the same court on 10 November last year. 

On 1 October last year, Grace sent several sexualised messages to what he thought was a 12-year-old girl, but was actually a decoy from an online child activist group on Facebook.  

Grace was arrested and charged on 7 October last year. 

Investigating officer Detective Constable Paul Cushing-Cena, of Milton Keynes CID, said:

“Phillip Grace’s actions were predatory and profoundly disturbing.  

“The sentenced imposed reflects the serious risk Grace posed to children and the gravity of the offences he committed.  

“We remain committed to safeguarding children and relentlessly pursuing offenders like Grace to bring them to justice.”

A man has been sentenced to life for violently assaulting and raping a woman whilst he was living in Bedford.

Jamal Jeng, 28, was convicted in October 2025 of rape, strangulation and assault in relation to a number of incidents which took place over several months.

The court heard that Jeng attacked the victim on a number of occasions before raping her.

The case was investigated by detectives from Bedfordshire Police’s specialist Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) team.

Jamal Jeng, 28, of Medhurst, Milton Keynes, was sentenced at Luton Crown Court on Friday (9 January) to life but must serve a minimum of eight years before he will be considered for parole.

When sentencing him, the judge commented that there was no doubt that Jeng was on a campaign of escalating abuse and that his offending reflected his need for power and domination.

In a victim impact statement, the victim said:

“I know my life will never be the same after what he did to me and how he made me feel. It has changed me beyond recognition. I will never go back to the person I was.

“This period of my life is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

Detective Constable Stefania Digirolamo, who investigated said:

“This was a shocking series of attacks culminating in a brutal rape.

“I would like to commend the bravery of the victim in this case. Her evidence was vital in supporting the investigation which ultimately resulted in a significant jail sentence for this violent and abusive man.

“We take a zero-tolerance approach to anyone committing violence against women and girls in our county and we will continue to relentlessly pursue anyone who seeks to commit such offences and bring them to justice.

“We would encourage victims to come forward, safe in the knowledge that they will be treated with sympathy and respect and given the support they need.

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has jailed for six years for sexual activity with a girl.

Elvis Nosakhare, aged 41, of, Sheelin Grove, Bletchley, was sentenced to six years in jail at Aylesbury Crown Court today (29/7).

Nosakhare will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life and the court also issued a restraining order against him.

After a trial earlier this year, Nosakhare was found guilty of two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl and three counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl.

Nosakhare met the mother of the victim via online dating and then abused her daughter in a disgusting betrayal of trust.

The offences happened in the Thames Valley.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Bryn Smith, of the Child Abuse Unit, said:

“I want to commend the victim for her bravery throughout both the investigation and court proceedings. I hope that Elvis Nosakhare’s conviction and sentence gives her some sense of justice.

Description

A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to eight years and six months after pleading guilty to sexual activity with children.

Christian Graham Ross, of Netherfield, Milton Keynes, contacted one of the teenage girls via social media, pretending to be younger than he was.

He groomed her into what she believed was a legitimate relationship and on multiple occasions, met her at his then home address in Northampton where he would ply her with alcohol and drugs before sexually exploiting her.

The case came to light when someone told a teacher at the girl’s school, and they immediately informed Northamptonshire Police. Officers from the RISE team (Reducing Incidents of Sexual Exploitation) began an investigation which led to the subsequent arrest of Ross.

During the investigation, it transpired that Ross had also groomed a second teenage girl from the Thames Valley Police area on the internet, before meeting her and engaging in sexual activity.

Ross was subsequently charged with three counts of penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15 and one count of meeting a girl under 16 following grooming. He pleaded guilty to all four offences at two separate hearings in May and June last year.

A mobile phone seized as part of the Thames Valley Police investigation and Ross was further charged with three offences of making indecent images of children. However, despite denying these offences, he was found guilty by a jury at a three-day trial.

At Amersham Crown Court last Friday (April 19), Ross was sentenced to a total of eight years and six months’ imprisonment and ordered to serve a further four years on extended licence. He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.

A lawyer who claimed he suffered from sexsomnia has been jailed for seven years after subjecting three victims to sexual abuse more than a decade ago.

Andrew Lingard was found guilty of raping one victim and indecent conduct against two children.

At the High Court in Edinburgh a judge told Lingard, 38, that the crimes he was convicted of were "very grave".

Judge Michael O'Grady KC added that he had undoubtedly caused dreadful pain to those who suffered through his actions.

The offences were carried out at addresses in West Lothian and a flat in Glasgow between 2005 and 2010.

Lingard's offending came to light after one of his victims started self-harming years later and suffered a mental "meltdown" while helping out at a stable for horses.

The trial heard the rape victim was assaulted at a house in Livingston while she was asleep and and after she awoke.

The court was also told one girl was abused by him at the age of 12 in 2005.

Another girl was molested by Lingard from the age of 12 and also subjected to a sex act. These offences occurred from 2006.

Defence counsel Shelagh McCall KC said Lingard continued to deny committing the offences, but added: "He accepts a significant custodial sentence is the inevitable outcome of his conviction."

She said: "He is a 38-year-old first offender. He is married with an infant son."

The defence counsel said 29 character references were written on his behalf by extended family, friends and colleagues which were supportive of him.

Asked about his sexsomnia defence, he said he had a clear memory of a discussion with a woman in which she complained about him waking her in a sexual way.

Lingard had denied the charges and maintained he had never had non-consensual sex.

Sexsomnia is a type of sleep disorder where people engage in sexual behaviour when asleep.

Lingard was earlier placed on the sex offenders register.

A man from Milton Keynes has been sentenced to 19 years in jail after being found guilty of the rape and sexual assault of a child, and a separate assault where a man was stabbed in Borehamwood. Frank Mooney, 36, from Bletchley, Milton Keynes, was arrested and charged in May 2022 after reports were made to police of sexual offences against a child.

Mooney appeared for sentencing at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday, March 2 after being found guilty at trial of the rape of a child under 13, encouraging a child to engage in sexual activity and two charges of sexual assault. He was sentenced to a total of 16 years in prison for those offences, has been added to the sex offenders’ register and must obey the terms of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The 36-year-old man was also sentenced to an additional three years after pleading guilty to common assault, possession of a knife and wounding with intent during an incident on July 23, 2022 which the assailant committed while on bail.

Mooney attended a residential address in Borehamwood, where he punched and stabbed a man in the shoulder after an altercation with a man and woman. However, the man's injuries were not life threatening.

Detective Constable Jacqueline Oliver, of the Joint Child Protection Investigation Team, said: “The bravery of the victim and her family has assisted in sending a dangerous offender to jail for many years. I hope this result can provide them with some sense of closure, having seen her abuser brought to justice.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to stress that we take all reports of abuse seriously. We are here to hold offenders to account and will always support the victim throughout the investigative process.”

On 19 August 2022, Harrison Langford began using online chat applications to groom a 13-year-old girl. His messages became almost immediately sexual in nature and he encouraged her to share explicit images.

Langford, 28, travelled from his home in King Street to Kent on 3 September, to meet the child. He picked her up in his BMW, before sexually abusing her in the car. He repeated the same acts the following day.

A week later, on 10 September, Langford returned to Maidstone having booked a hotel room. This time he picked up his victim, took her to the hotel room, and repeatedly abused her.

Shortly after, the girl reported the offences to Kent Police and Langford was arrested at the hotel.

Langford appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 14 December, where he pleaded guilty to four offences, including grooming and sexual activity with a child.

Langford was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and has been made subject of an extended licence period of three years, as well as a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Investigating officer, PC Marcus Easter from the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team, said, ‘Langford purposefully targeted and groomed a child. He repeatedly subjected her to sexual abuse, exploiting her for his own gratification, all the while fully aware of the profound and lasting damage his actions would have.

‘We are grateful to the victim for her bravery in coming forward and hope that today’s sentencing offers her some comfort.

‘Kent Police is committed to tackling all forms of child sexual exploitation and protecting those at risk, and we have dedicated teams working across the county to support victims and convict offenders.’

A man from Milton Keynes has been sentenced to seven years after being found guilty of a number of sex offences against children.

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, Michael Lines, 41, formerly of Oxley Park, was found guilty by jury of two counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 and one count of sexual activity with a child while in a position of trust.

It happened between 2010 and 2015 against his victims who were aged between 14-18 years old.

Mr Lines was charged in December 2016 and convicted of the offences on 19 July 2017 and has now been sentenced at Blackfriars Crown Court (on Monday 25th June).

Mr Lines was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely and was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) indefinitely.

In a separate trial at Aylesbury Crown Court which concluded in April, MrLines was acquitted of two further offences of sexual activity with a child.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Tonya Livingston, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit at Bletchley police station, said:

Lines, having wreaked emotional havoc on the children involved in these offences, continued to deny any wrongdoing on his part.

His selfishness caused one child witness to have to give evidence three times and another to wait nearly a year to see justice administered in the sentencing on Monday.

The sentence set by the judge reflects the severity of Lines offending and the callousness of his actions throughout his offending and trials.

A man who subjected vulnerable girls to a number of counts of sexual abuse in Wellingborough has been jailed. Colin Darlington, 51, of Melick Road, of Beanhill, Milton Keynes, was sentenced to 20 years in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court. Darlington was found guilty at an earlier court hearing of two counts of rape of a female child under the age of 16, and of 10 counts of indecent assault. He was found not guilty of one count of indecent assault. The offences relate to incidents which occurred in Wellingborough during the 1990s and in Milton Keynes in the 2000s. Darlington targeted vulnerable girls, aged between 11 and 15 at the time of the offences, and subjected them to either rape or sexual assaults. He was charged on 30 December, 2014, and convicted on October 4. At the sentencing, His Honour Judge Cole paid tribute to the victims and referred to Darlington as a ruthless, determined paedophile. Investigating officer Det Con Graeme Williams, of the Thames Valley Police Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: This has been a long and difficult process for the victims and we would like to thank them for both their courage in coming forward, and their resilience through such a demanding trial. These offences have had a great and lasting impact on their lives and I hope that the sentence handed out by the court will go some way to helping them move forward.
